58-year-old Oleksandr Gordienko managed a farm in the Kherson region and cleared fields by himself. He died on the morning of September 5 as a result of a drone attack. An enemy drone hit a car in which a man was working in the field.
A petition on the President’s website by his daughter Alina Gordienko registered September 8.
“After the deoccupation of the right bank of the Kherson region [Олександр Гордієнко – ред.] single-handedly demined thousands of hectares of fields, where he removed more than 5,000 anti-tank mines.
Later, in order to continue work on the ground, he saved equipment and workers from shelling. He also fought enemy drones with EW and shot them down with a shotgun. He shot down more than 200 Russian drones. The Kherson region called him “Farmer Rambo” for the daily destruction of drones in the fields. – said the text of the petition.
