The Verkhovna Rada has approved two laws on the introduction of tax and customs benefits for drones operated through fiber cable.

About it reported First Deputy Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Tax and Customs Policy Yaroslav Zheleznyak (Voice).

Deputies approved the draft laws # 13305 and No. 13306 as a basis and as a whole at the meeting on May 4, 302 and 303 votes.

The laws adopted provide for the exemption from taxation by customs payments and VAT of imported fiber for the production of drones.

The adoption of these laws will facilitate:

• reducing the cost of unmanned systems that use optical cable to control and transmit video signal or other defense products using optical cable;
• Prompt provision of Ukraine’s defense forces with modern technical means.

Drones on fiber are resistant to radio electronic intelligence and are critical for the Defense Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, optical components are mostly imported into Ukraine.
