The first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Social Policy, Mykhailo Tsymbalyuk, said that in the near future they will take a law on the vote number 13155 on the cancellation of housing and communal services for destroyed housing.
Mykhailo Tsymbalyuk told this during the TV.
“Political support for the bill is in different factions. I think that in the coming weeks this bill will get to the session hall for the first reading.
He stressed that not only residential buildings but also shopping centers were affected by Russian attacks.
“They also pay real estate tax. And, in fact, it is very important to clearly understand: if a person has affected a home or a premises that is already unsuitable for use, then for the period of martial law and a year after the end of martial law – no utility payments and real estate tax will be accrued.
The parliamentarian stressed that, if the bill becomes a law, the Cabinet of Ministers will develop the procedure for exemption from tax and payment of utility centers.
“That is, an act should be drawn up. If housing is not suitable for use, then the accrual of any utilities is stopped. The decision is delayed but fair,” he explained.
Earlier it was reported that the Council of Europe Development Bank (BRRE) will provide Ukraine with € 50 million to finance the privileged mortgage program for families of internally displaced persons.
In addition, Ukrainian displaced persons who have lost their housing through war are actively using the State Education Program.
Also in Ukraine, they have expanded the capabilities of the Equation Program, allowing the owners of land to build a new house instead of the destroyed.
