“The Council adopted in general No. 11281 regarding the provision of housing rights of internally displaced persons (creation of an information database of real estate objects for the residence of internally displaced persons),” Zheleznyak said.
It is planned to create an information base of habitable housing in the form of a public interactive map, where information about the technical condition of the object, its photo, the number of places to live, and the amount of potential investments to bring it into a habitable state will be available.
IDPs will be able to choose the facility where they would like to live, and the authorities will be able to communicate with international organizations regarding the necessary repairs and commissioning of the facility.
Internally displaced persons will be able to apply for residence approximately six months after the law comes into force.

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved an experimental project under which internally displaced persons from 9 regions of Ukraine will be able to receive a subsidy for housing rent. The social norm of the area for the calculation of the housing rental subsidy for IDPs has been established – 13.65 square meters per person.
