Details: According to Zheleznyak, on April 30, the Verkhovna Rada continued the term of voluntary return of the military from the HCP.
Basic provisions of the Law:
- As long as the martial law is ongoing, the service of the military who left part of the military is not formally stopped. But if they do not return to the time of martial law, the service is considered suspended the next day after its completion.
- Their absence is not taken into account in years of service, and during this period payment, security and privileges are not provided (this supplement was made by the committee to the bill).
- The opportunity to return to service voluntarily is valid until August 30, 2025. Upon return, all the benefits and social guarantees provided for by law are restored.
- The military who returned can continue their service, even if they opened a criminal case at the commander’s decision.
- If the service is suspended or military unauthorized or deserted during martial law, he and his family lose the right to benefits and compensate for this period.
