Military personnel who voluntarily return to service will be reinstated with all social guarantees”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org

The Verkhovna Rada approved the extension of the term for the return to service of those soldiers who voluntarily left the unit (SZCH) or deserted. Now it can be done until March 1, 2025, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Iryna Vereshchuk reported on January 9.

In August, the Ukrainian parliament approved a law that proposes not to punish the first voluntary desertion of a military unit (SZCH) or desertion, if the soldier returns on his own and the commander allows him to continue his service.

It provides that, during the martial law, servicemen who first voluntarily left the military units, but later voluntarily arrived at the place of service, the validity of the contract continues.

The State Bureau of Investigation stated that servicemen who voluntarily return to service will be reinstated with all social guarantees.
