Details
The ISW report indicates that geolocation footage released on December 22 shows Russian troops executing five Ukrainian prisoners of war near the Donetsk-Zaporizh region border in Blagodatny (south of Velika Novosilka). According to the conclusion of the Institute for the Study of War, the Soviet Union has recently executed more Ukrainian prisoners of war (POWs) on the battlefield.
According to the organization’s conclusion, Russian commanders are either complacent or indulge their subordinates in participating in the execution of prisoners of war, which is a clear violation of international law. Responsible actions are a violation of international law, ISW emphasizes.

UNN reported that four Ukrainian defenders were forced to take shelter in a private house during artillery shelling in the Vremivsk direction in the Volnovasky district. After being surrounded by the Russian military, they left the building and were captured. It is noted that two prisoners of war were left lying on the ground, and the other two were taken to the road. Subsequently, all four Ukrainian soldiers were cynically shot.
