The Ukrainian futsal team beat the Netherlands 3:1 and reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup. Coach Oleksandr Kosenko commented on the game.
“We played the match very responsibly. Maybe not very spectacular, but a tense match. I am grateful to the guys who persevered. The Netherlands is a good, technical team. It is important that the boys showed character.”
“It was important to score the second goal after conceding. In past matches, after conceding, we immediately slumped somehow and had problems. And this game is important for self-confidence,” said Kosenko.
In the quarter-finals on September 29, the team will play against Spain or Venezuela.
