According to him, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a resolution on renaming, in particular, the following settlements:
- Novomoskovsk (Dnipropetrovsk region) – Samar;
- Pershotravensk (Dnipropetrovsk region) – Shakhtarske;
- Pervomaisk (Luhansk region) – Sokologhirsk;
- Molodogvardiysk (Luhansk region) – Otamanivka;
- Severodonetsk (Luhansk region) – Severskodonetsk;
- Chervonograd (Lviv region) – Sheptytskyi;
- Druzhba (Sumy region) – Khutir-Mykhailivskyi;
- Krasnograd (Kharkiv region) – Berestyn;
- Pervomaiskyi (Kharkiv region) – Zlatopil;
- Vatutine (Cherkasy region) – Bagacheve.
According to the people’s deputy, there is still a vote in the Council for new names of cities and villages. In particular, such debatable ones as Pavlograd, Synelnikove or Pervomaisk of the Mykolaiv region.
