But Shaun Wallace appeared to be more interested in lifting them after stripping off for a recent motivational Instagram post.
The self-styled Dark Destroyer, a household name thanks to his regular appearances on the ITV game show, went shirtless while offering his followers a positive message in September.
‘Don’t worry what others think!’ The partially clad quiz-master, 65, told fans in a direct address to camera.
‘Don’t let it bother you when people are always negative. Just focus on yourself.’
The TV personality later shared footage of himself working out with a set of dumbbells in his back garden.
Captioning the brief clip, he wrote: ‘I’ve got that Monday morning feeling!! Start the week as you mean to go on.’
The post prompted a wave of positive responses from followers, with one commenting: ‘Thank you Shaun. I needed to hear this now. You’re looking good.’
A second added: ‘Loving the topless look.’
While a third impressed follower wrote: ‘You looking good Shaun.’
Wallace has embraced a healthier lifestyle over recent months in an attempt to lose weight, after admitting he was forced to stop his daily jogging routine because of a health issue.
He told The Hearing podcast: ‘I train every single morning to keep myself fit and ready for the day. I can’t run anymore. I used to run a mile a day but because I have problems with my knees now, I just use the outdoor gym and have a rowing machine.’
Addressing Instagram followers in June, Wallace has admitted his ‘life has not been easy’ while celebrating his 65th birthday in Poole, Dorset.
He said: ‘Today is my 65th birthday. Life’s not been that easy sometimes, just like this boat – rocking up and down.
‘But I’m here to tell the tale. I hope I’ve got many more years to come.’
Captioning the short video, he added: ‘I’m very grateful for reaching my 65th Birthday today.
‘My life has not been easy but I’ve never given up.
‘I’ve worked hard, been persistent and have learnt valuable lessons from the multiple times I have failed.
‘A genuine thank you to all my followers, I will do my best to inspire, motivate and entertain for the rest of my life.
‘Have an amazing day… I intend to.’
