The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia may announce the final results of the parliamentary elections tomorrow. A meeting of the CEC is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on November 16. The opposition TV channel Pirveli reports about it, transmits UNN.

As “News of Georgia” reports, the members of the commission received a message from the administration in the evening. The notice did not specify a subpoena.

Critics of the authorities call the actions of the CEC “logical”. They indicate that it will be problematic to organize a large-scale protest tomorrow. Thousands of people left the city for Batumi, where the Georgia-Ukraine football match will be held tomorrow.

However, the rally near the head office of the CEC in the Digomi district has already been announced.

“Tomorrow the CEC will draw up the final protocol. There will also be football and they hope to sneak in like that. Zatra in front of the CEC is a place of gathering and fighting. At 11 o’clock!” – wrote the representative of “Unity – National Movement” Khatiya Dekanoidze on her Facebook page.

As the publication notes, there are no longer any legal obstacles to announcing the results. Today, the Tbilisi Court of Appeal concluded the consideration of the latest complaints of the opposition and local observers. The hearing was held without oral hearings – the plaintiffs were not present, they could not present their evidence or arguments.

The court upheld the decision of the lower instance. The applicants demanded that almost all the final protocols of the district election commissions be declared invalid due to the violation of the secrecy of the vote. The Tbilisi City Court refused them on November 14.

According to the law, the election administration must announce the final election results no later than November 21. On the tenth day after summing up the results, the parliament of the new convocation must meet.
