Among his priority tasks, Artem Nekrasov named ensuring the stable operation of the energy system, restoring trust and effective cooperation with international partners, as well as “attracting resources for repairs and restoration of damaged energy facilities.”

Before entering the government, the new acting the Minister performed the duties of the Director of the State Enterprise “Guaranteed Buyer”. In addition, Nekrasov held senior positions at JSC “Kharkivoblenergo” for a long time, worked at JSC “Zaporizhjiaoblenergo” and JSC “Sumioblenergo”, SE “Kaluska TEC-Nova” and SE NVKG “Zorya-Mashproekt”.
Corruption scandal in the energy sectorAs UNIAN reported, on November 10, it became known about a large-scale operation by NABU and SAP to expose corruption in the energy sector. The law enforcement officers also searched the company “Energoatom” and the ex-Minister of Energy, Minister of Justice Herman Galushchenko.
On the same day, the Ministry of Energy responded to the scandal. Already the former Minister of Energy Svitlana Grynchuk said that everyone involved in the corruption scheme will be brought to justice.
However, already on November 12, Svitlana Grynchuk wrote a resignation letter after it became known that she appears in the “Midas case”. At the same time, she added that “there were no violations of the law within the scope of my professional activity. Such facts cannot exist in principle.”
On November 19, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Svitlana Grynchuk from the position of Minister of Energy by more than a constitutional majority.
