Members of the Bundestag voted to dissolve the German government. The country will soon hold early elections. He writes about it UNN with reference to Deutsche Welle.

Details

733 members of the Bundestag took part in the vote of confidence in the government. Before the vote, Chancellor Olaf Scholz and party leaders exchanged accusations.

The leader of the party “Alternative for Germany” Alisa Weidel said that after the rule of the “traffic light coalition” the Germans will have to recover for a long time.

394 deputies voted to dissolve the government and hold new elections, which are likely to be held on February 23 next year. At least 367 votes were needed for this.

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier must approve the decision within three weeks. He could also keep Scholz in office and allow him to run the country with a minority government, but analysts say that is unlikely.

There were only five such votes of confidence in the chancellor in Germany.
