Gili said that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine also does not see a weakening of support from Great Britain.
“We have increased military support. We have accelerated supplies… We are now spending more on military aid to Ukraine than ever before as the British government,” he said.
Gili noted that yesterday he had a long talk with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov. He shared with journalists that Kyiv does not see a weakening of support from Great Britain.
In addition, relations between Kyiv and London have not deteriorated, the head of the British Ministry of Defense emphasized. He added that the British government will provide military aid to Ukraine in the amount of 3 billion pounds a year for as long as it takes.
The publication recalled that on November 8, The Guardian published an article about the deterioration of relations between Ukraine and Great Britain due to the termination of the supply of Storm Shadow missiles to Kyiv. Ukrainian officials were quoted there as criticizing the country’s recently elected Labor government.
It is noted that the Prime Minister of Great Britain Keir Starmer has not yet visited Kyiv since taking up his new position. However, he held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi at the European Political Community summit last week.
After the event, Starmer wrote on social networks that an important element of Ukraine’s Victory Plan is the provision of long-range weapons to Kyiv and permission to use them against military targets on the territory of Russia, the publication added.
Support for Ukraine – the latest newsEarlier, UNIAN reported that current US President Joe Biden will convince the new administration headed by Republican Donald Trump of the need to support Ukraine. He seeks to put Kyiv in the strongest possible position on the battlefield.
In addition, Poland said that they want to create an alliance with Britain to protect Ukraine from Trump. It is noted that Great Britain, Poland and France are considered the key countries that can prevent the new US administration from making a deal with the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, behind Ukraine’s back.
