As previously reported by the Telegram channel “Support of Oleksandr Sizikov” with reference to his mother Olena Sizikova, Oleksandr was transferred from the Bakhchisaray ITT to the Simferopol pre-trial detention center. According to her, he was able to contact his mother and reported that on October 31 he was taken to an ophthalmologist and a neurologist.
The doctors said that Sizikov “may be in a pre-trial detention center”, and took a copy of the disability certificate that the man gave to the police officers for the court.

On October 21, the Krasnoyarsk Regional Court in Russia overturned the decision to release Oleksandr Syzikov and decided to return him from his home in Crimea back to prison.
On October 22, in the Bakhchisaray district of Crimea, Russian security forces conducted a search late in the evening and took with them the blind person involved in the “case of Crimean Muslims”, Oleksandr Syzikov. On October 23, the Russian Federation-controlled Bakhchysarai District Court of Crimea arrested Sizikov for 10 days under the administrative article on “disobedience to the police”.
In May of this year, the Minusyn city court of the Krasnoyarsk region of the Russian Federation released Sizikov from prison due to complete loss of sight, after which he returned to Crimea.
Oleksandr Syzikov became a figure in the “case of Crimean Muslims” on the charge of involvement in the organization “Hizb-ut-Tahrir”, recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia, but not banned in most other countries.
On July 7, 2020, during mass searches in Crimea, seven Crimean Tatars were detained: Ismet Ibragimov, Zekirya Muratov, Vadym Bektemirov, Emil Ziyadinov, Alim Sufyanov, Seyran Hairedinov, and Oleksandr Sizikov. Six of them were immediately arrested and sent to the Simferopol pre-trial detention center.
Sizikov, who has a disability of the first group, was initially placed under house arrest. However, in September 2024, he was taken from his home and in December was transferred from the Simferopol pre-trial detention center to the Minusynsk prison in Russia.
