Black Friday shoppers, we’ve nearly reached the end of the (checkout) line. The deal-filled shopping holiday typically kicked off the day after Thanksgiving, leaving everyone in anticipation of epic discounts until the end of November. But no, not 2024. Ever the year to buck any and all traditions, 2024 instead brought us a dizzying month of doorbusters: There were deals not just on TVs and video game consoles, but also everything from Lego Advent calendars and celebrity-founded brands to high-tech beauty devices and space-ready suitcases.

Case in point: Target was among the first retailers to kick off the holiday shopping season with its early Black Friday sale on Nov. 7, followed by Amazon’s markdown madness on Nov. 21. As Cyber Monday sales come to a close (yes, some are still trailing), Adobe Digital Insights reports that Dec. 2 is expected to be the spendiest shopping day of the year with an expected total of $13.2 to $13.5 billion in receipts. (The company will provide a final update on Dec. 3 at 8:30 a.m. ET.)

All of this is to say that there’s just one final day in the Black Friday trifecta: Giving Tuesday, yet another designated date adopted by consumerism.

Founded in 2012 in New York City, the celebration was created as “a day that encourages people to do good,” according to the movement’s creators. The organization’s philosophy of “radical generosity” has earned the support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, AWS Nonprofits, Google.org, National Philanthropic Trust and many others.

As dedicated shopping editors, it’s our duty to share the best Giving Tuesday sales that allow your bucks to earn the most brownie points. Here, you won’t find a list of dozens upon dozens of discounts on the Dyson Airwrap, espresso machines and Wicked merch (all among 2024’s top categories, according to Adobe), though you’ll find plenty of that here. Instead, we’ve carefully selected philanthropic options that check off more than one box, say, a cozy sweater that helps you raise awareness for cancer screenings, or an EVOO restock that also helps you feed those in need around the globe.

Some finds are on sale as part of extended Cyber Monday deals, while others might cost you full price (for a good cause!) For those hoping to end their Black Friday spending spree on a charitable note, see our favorite Giving Tuesday deals below, and learn more about the kindness-driven movement here.

Worldclass Just-launched brand Worldclass makes sweats, hoodies and tees are equal parts cozy, chic and cheeky — all to help support cancer prevention by raising awareness about colonoscopies. Fun fact: one of the brand’s co-founders previously teamed with clever marketer Ryan Reynolds to share his colonoscopy experience online. It makes sense, then, that the philanthropic label (which notes that “a great ass is a terrible thing to waste”) was founded by marketing industry veteran Brooks Bell and fashion stylist Sarah Beran, who created the brand after many years in remission from early-onset colorectal in their 30s. The not-for-profit company donates all of its proceeds to fund cancer detection procedures and officially debuts on Giving Tuesday today.
