The Docville Festival in Leoen abolished the show of Russian propaganda film Russians at War thanks to the surgery of the Embassy of Ukraine in Belgium.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reports.

The Ukrainian Embassy appealed to the Federal Government, the Flanders Government, the local authorities of Leoven, the leadership of the Docville festival and the Catholic University of Catholic, calling for the cancellation of this tape.

As a result, the management of the festival and the rector of the university made a decision to cancel the show.

Anastasia Trofimova’s film presents Russian soldiers in the war against Ukraine as “victims of circumstances”, ignoring their responsibility for war crimes – murder, torture, rape, looting and deportation of Ukrainian children. The display of such films is part of the Russian Information War aimed at justifying aggression against Ukraine.
