The company of the “big four” auditors (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC) will help the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to improve the risk management system.

The Big Four company will analyze:
- risk management and compliance system,
- whether risk management meets the requirements of international standards.
“We want to demonstrate to society and partners the effectiveness of our three lines of defense in risk management. The Big Four company has already analyzed the department’s internal audit service, which performs the function of the third line of defense. Now we are starting the second stage, during which we are concentrating on increasing the effectiveness of the first two lines of defense.” – noted Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stanislav Hayder.
According to the message, the provided recommendations will make it possible to get rid of the identified “weaknesses”, in particular by implementing the best global practices, which will reduce the risks of violations and improve control over compliance with the rules.
The ministry does not name which of the “big four” companies are involved in the project.
The project is being implemented with the support of the UK Defense Special Adviser program, which is funded by the British government.
