The forces of the Russian Federation do not stop their offensive in the Gulyaipol area of the Zaporizhzhia region, the spokesman of the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, said on the air of the telethon.

However, according to him, The Armed Forces stopped the Russian military on the approaches to the city.

Voloshyn clarified that the situation in this direction is “quite difficult” – the Russian Federation does not stop its assaults, it is trying to push back the Defense Forces of Ukraine, but there are no Russian troops in Gulyaipol itself.

“It is stopped and blocked on the approaches to this settlement itself. The Defense Forces of Ukraine are carrying out countermeasures against enemy attacks, search and strike operations are ongoing to detect groups trying to infiltrate this settlement. That is why there are no combat clashes in Gulyaipol itself. The enemy did not enter this settlement,” Voloshyn said.

On November 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russian forces were allegedly advancing “at a rapid pace through the north of the Zaporizhzhia region, approached Gulyaipol and will continue.”

The DeepState project wrote that Ukraine was “one step away from losing Gulyaipol”, and the situation began to deteriorate after the loss of Poltavka, Uspenivka and several other neighboring villages in early November.
