Only in the past day, the loss of the enemy’s manpower amounted to 200 people killed and wounded. In a month, the approximate losses of the occupiers amount to about six thousand military personnel in the Toretsk area alone. Major Anastasia Bobovnikova, the spokeswoman of Luhansk OTU, told about this on the air of the marathon “Suspilne Novosti”.
She reported that, despite the heavy losses, the occupiers are significantly outnumbered in terms of manpower, regularly drop reinforcements into advanced positions and continue to storm.
— The situation in Toretsk is very difficult. Today, the enemy made 15 attacks in this direction. The vast majority was in Toretsk itself. City battles are difficult and unstable. Our troops are holding back the offensive at the moment, but the enemy is pressing in with larger forces. I will also note that the enemy is constantly adding manpower to the forward positions, she said.
It is difficult to estimate what part of the city is currently controlled by the enemy.
— The situation is unstable and it is extremely incorrect to talk about any specific percentages. The battles are going on, the battles are very dynamic, very difficult. We are trying to contain the enemy. During the last days, the enemy did not advance within that [напрямку]where the battles were fought.
The spokeswoman described the street fights in Toretsk.
— It is very easy to disguise mines in the middle of the city, mining positions is very simple. In the city, on the one hand, it is more difficult, on the other hand, it is easier to hide, because there are basements. But when artillery works, it destroys houses, for example, completely erases them, and it is more difficult to hide in these ruins in cities. Plus, the enemy can seep into urban buildings. That is, a complex of measures is taking place that complicates the fighting in the city, – the military woman explained.
The officer reported the number of enemy casualties over the past day.
– The enemy will suffer huge losses. Only in the past day, they lost 200 people killed and wounded. They simply need to replenish the “meat fund” in their advanced positions, so they are hiring new personnel. These are mostly contract workers, the personnel units of the Russian army stand against us, the officer said.
She calculated the approximate number of Russian losses per month only in the Toretsk area.
– In the past day alone, 200 people were injured and killed. Imagine that in a month this is about 6 thousand people killed and wounded. This is the size of an average Russian brigade. And this is only near one small town, – emphasized the military woman.
However, despite the huge losses, the occupiers have a significant quantitative advantage in manpower, weapons and military equipment.
— The enemy outnumbers us many times. It also has a larger amount of equipment, artillery, b/c. They push with more force. They are now actively recruiting contract workers, they are promised crazy money and that is why they are going for it. Thus, there is a constant transfer of personnel to advanced positions, – Anastasiya Bobovnikova said.
