The Ukrainian military attacked rear arsenals on the territory of Russia thanks to weapons of its own production. We are talking about strikes on warehouses in the Tver region and the Krasnodar region, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said in his traditional evening address.
According to him, the precise strikes of the Armed Forces fundamentally change the situation and return the war “home to Russia”. He also called the arsenal in Tikhoretsk significant for the occupiers. Regarding the base in the area of the village of Oktyabrskyi (Tversk region), then there were storages of tactical missiles and guided aerial bombs, the president clarified.
– This is all that Russia uses for terror against our cities, our positions. And I want to emphasize: we are doing it thanks to our abilities, our weapons – without the funds that can be provided by partners, which can significantly accelerate the end of this war thanks to the destruction of Russia’s offensive potential, – said Zelensky.
He also added that if the partners had given permission and enough missiles for strikes on Russian territory, the situation would have improved significantly. These issues will be discussed next week as part of a trip to the US and meetings with allies.
- On September 21, Ukrainian drones attacked two Russian military arsenals. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Tikhoretsk base was one of the three largest ammunition storage facilities and was one of the key ones in the logistics system of the Russian troops.
- At the time of the attack, there was another echelon on the territory of the arsenal, which delivered at least 2,000 tons of ammunition, including from the DPRK.
