The Iranian authorities have closed the airspace for aviation, except for some permitted international flights, amid the sharp escalation of the situation.

In addition, units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were put on maximum alert. This decision was made against the background of the worsening situation in the region and possible external threats.

According to the Tasnim agency, Iran’s air defense command was ordered to immediately open fire on any aircraft entering the country’s airspace without clear identification.
