The Air Force reported that they shot down 71 Russian drones at night

On the night of September 22, the Ukrainian military shot down 71 attack drones out of 80 launched by Russian troops, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported.

“On the night of September 22, the enemy struck with two Kh-59/69 guided air missiles from the airspace of the TOT of the Luhansk region and launched 80 Shahed-type attack UAVs from Yeisk and Kursk – RF over Ukraine,” the message reads.

According to the Air Force, in addition to the downed drones, six more drones were lost in location as a result of countermeasures by EW.

Anti-aircraft defense worked in Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

The forces of the Russian Federation regularly attack Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, missiles, anti-aircraft missiles, anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
