“Thank you, greedy belly.” Usyk thanked Fury after receiving the award

WBC, WBO and WBA super heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk was recognized as the best boxer of 2024 by The Ring. After the award, the Ukrainian commented on his success:

“Congratulations to everyone. First of all, I want to thank God, my family and my team. This year has been great for me. Important for me and my country. If you can help people, give a smile – do it. Thank you very much.

I want to turn to Tyson Fury, my friend. You are a “greedy belly” and my big rival,” Usyk said.

In 2024, Oleksandr Usyk defeated the British contender Tyson Fury twice – in May by split decision, and in December the Ukrainian’s unanimous victory was recorded.
