Sports director of “Barcelona” Deku clarified the situation surrounding Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who left the team’s location in Saudi Arabia during the Spanish Super Cup and returned home. The “Blaugranas” official confirmed the presence of certain difficulties with the German goalkeeper’s knee.
“Ter Stegen felt discomfort in his knee, which worried Mark. It’s understandable given his injury history. He is keeping calm at the moment and we are relieved that the examination did not reveal any serious damage,” Deku was quoted as saying by Sport.es.
It is worth reminding that earlier there were rumors about the possible departure of the 33-year-old goalkeeper from the club in the winter window. In the current season, ter Stegen appeared only once in the Catalan team – in a cup match against Guadalajara.
