Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring in the 10th minute, but Tottenham equalized in the 17th minute with a goal from Kuluszewski. Ndiaye put Everton ahead in the 23rd minute, but Richarlison equalized in the 45th minute. In the end, Gray’s own goal in the 60th minute brought victory to Everton.
Everton fans praise Vitaly Mykolenko for improving his game under David Moyes. The defender spent the entire match, but did not stand out with productive actions.
Tactically Matt: “Amazed by Vitaly Mykolenko under David Moyes so far. He is given more freedom to get forward and is quite reliable in defence. I hope it will continue like this in the future.”
Mitch Winslow: “I want Mangala to be signed on a permanent basis. I want Harrison’s and Broy’s leases to be cancelled. Buendia for rent, Nuama on a permanent basis. I think Patterson will open up under the leadership of Moyes, and Mykolenko is already looking better. McNeil, Irogbunam and Garner return from injuries. Crazy what one win can do haha!”.
Kyle: “Great win today, but we need to get rid of that lazy Mykolenko as soon as possible.”
Nick: “This is the best Lindström match I’ve seen, I don’t think Harrison will get a chance unless someone gets injured. Mykolenko’s best match in attack. Of course, it is too early to draw conclusions, but there were many positive moments for me.”
Jamie Bell: “Thought Mykolenko played solid today as did Lindström…but Doukoure just stops our attacks, works to exhaustion but it’s not enough…Need to add some new players this week.”
Drew McCoy: “So far, only Doukoure has not shown any progress compared to when he played for Dyche. Mykolenko may not be the perfect or long-term solution, but I think under Moyes he’s no longer a top 3 issue to address this window. We can handle the current challenges with him in the squad if he continues to play like he is now.”
Bluegoblinagain: “Mykolenko looks like a good player again.”
RC02: “An excellent performance today, but Mykolenko and Dukoure, as before, are terrible footballers.”
