She jumped on the live video to set the record straight.
Amber is an OG star of the franchise, having appeared on Teen Mom, 16 and Pregnant, and Marriage Boot Camp.
‘This is so weird to me,’ she began. ‘Not only am I not being let go, I quit three days ago.
‘I told Larry the producer ‘I quit,” and she went on to cite her mental health and the screaming and crying that went on on the set of the series.
‘My mental health is more important, she said as the video ended.
Amber first appeared on Teen Mom in the late 2000s when she was expecting her first child with then-boyfriend Gary Shirley.
Her latest TikTok Live rant isn’t her first time she slammed the show that made her famous and pays her bills.
Earlier this week she went on a rant threatening to get the show canceled.
Her reasoning is that she feels like Teen Mom: The Next Chapter is preventing her from reuniting with her estranged daughter Leah.
‘If [the show] isn’t cancelled, I’ll get it cancelled,’ she said during her Live. ‘[The ball] is already in my court, honey. I promise that.
‘I think the show’s getting cancelled, you guys,’ Amber said, adding, ‘God works in mysterious ways, y’all! I wish I could say more. Is that in my contract? Nope.’
Amber clapped and cackled and then said, ‘It’s not a bad thing for it to be done, it’s time, but if you keep graspin’ at straws for s**t, eventually it’s gonna go.’
However, The Ashley’s Reality Roundup’s source said the show isn’t getting canceled – despite what Amber claims.
‘We are currently on hiatus, and, of course, there’s never a guarantee that we’ll be picked up again,’ one source told The Ashley.
‘But we’ve heard absolutely nothing about it being cancelled, so I have no clue what she means. Also, Amber thinking that she would have any power to cancel the show is ridiculous.
‘To my knowledge she has not been officially let go, though, but she’s basically asking to be fired so it’s doubtful she will continue on.’
A second source hinted that Amber may be on the way out, especially considering she wasn’t invited to the season 28 reunion in New York City in January.
‘Gary and Leah were there, but Amber was not invited,’ the source told The Ashley. ‘She didn’t decline to go– she was not asked to go.’
The Sun reported that Amber will appear on at least three more episodes this season.
‘Amber has not had any recent discussions with production about leaving the show,’ their source insisted. ‘She has not been let go.’
The mom of Leah, 16, and James, 7, is appearing on fewer episodes this season because of her estrangement from her teen daughter Leah and first baby daddy, Gary Shirley, the source said.
‘Teen Mom is not a normal reality show,’ the source explained. ‘It’s a show about her relationships with her children and co-parenting with exes, and when those relationships are not in a good place, that gets reflected on the show.’
Amber said she was reluctant to film the one episode she’s been in so far this season due to her messy split from her fiancé Gary Wayt.
‘Amber is currently struggling with her mental health issues,’ the source admitted.
