At the same time, Reshetylova admitted that the work of the TCC and JV is far from ideal and needs to be reformed.
The military ombudsman spoke about the problems of mobilization in Ukraine / collage UNIAN, photo UNIANIt would be good if those dissatisfied with the work of territorial staffing and social support centers of Ukraine mobilized and showed how to work, since TCCs are staffed below 40%. Military ombudsman Olga Reshetylova wrote about this on Facebook.
“Yes, the accounting system is imperfect. Yes, the work of the TCC and SP is far from ideal and definitely needs reforming. But do you know that TCC employees often do not have days off for half a year, I am not talking about vacations? That, in addition to the issues of accounting for conscripts and direct mobilization, they still have dozens of tasks and responsibilities to active military personnel and their families? That the staffing of the TCC is lower than 40%?”, – she wrote.
At the same time, Reshetylova added that TCC employees experience constant hate and physical attacks.
“It would be great if those dissatisfied with the work of the TCC mobilized and showed how to work. By the way, I suggested to representatives of public and human rights organizations to involve their lawyers and psychologists to work in the TCC. It would be a wonderful project and donors would give money. But, unfortunately, the queue of those willing to work systematically did not line up,” the military ombudsman noted.
At the same time, she emphasized that every day she receives dozens of appeals that after being delivered to the TCC, conscripts disappear without having contact with their relatives.
“This is a bad and inhumane practice. Not only because citizens have the right to communicate with their loved ones, but their loved ones have the right to know what is happening. And because it strongly demotivates an already frightened recruit,” she wrote.
The human rights activist emphasized that the lack of communication during the first period of service is one of the reasons for the large number of SZH. Reshetylova said that she recently worked in one training center where the combatant returned the phones to all servicemen of the company as an experiment.
According to her, the number of SZH in this mouth decreased to zero. Reshetylova also said that some servicemen do not hear from their relatives for months, because they are on a combat mission, where there is only radio communication, only at a certain time, only with the commander or a support point.
“Their relatives also write to me. Almost always very politely, calmly and without tantrums. They ask to clarify at least whether their boys are alive. And then I ask the military unit to record the serviceman’s message to his relatives on the radio station and send them via voicemail to messengers. As a rule, their content is as follows: “I am alive, healthy. I really want to see you, but we can’t go out, because there is no one to replace us. We are waiting for a replacement and hope to be home soon. I love you all very much,” Reshetylova said.
