The Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces Alexander Sirsky on Saturday, February 1, held a monthly meeting on the quality of training in the army.
According to the Syrsky Telegram channel, the participants of the meeting analyzed the level of training of graduates of training centers, who have undergone a course of BZVP lasting 1.5 months, not 30 days, as before. According to the Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces, the crews say that the level of preparation of newcomers has increased.
“We will continue to embody this positive practice and strengthen it with a further adaptive course in military units, ”he said.
Syrsky also said that the level of psychological training of recruits “leaves much to be desired, and that this direction should be strengthened.
The commander -in -chief said that the Armed Forces is introduced a new training program – the preparation period will be increased from one to two months, the program and teaching method will be strengthened.
“There is a good feedback about the progress and results of another experiment – undergoing basic military training on the basis of combat units. He heard the report of the commander of one of the mechanized brigades to pass the newcomers on her rear landfills, ”Sirsky said.
According to the commander -in -chief, the passage of BZVP on the funds of the brigade makes it possible to improve the preparation of personnel, as well as to significantly reduce cases of unauthorized abandonment of part. Sirsky stated that this experience would be scaled and implemented on a permanent basis.

The meeting also discussed problems in the preparation process, in particular, staffing groups of instructors in brigades and strengthening their work, involving them in training centers.
“The proposals are taken into account in the fifth publication of the BZVP program, developed with the participation of my deputy colonel Oleg Apostle. It is in close interaction with the commander on the ground, which makes it possible to identify mistakes, to realize the attention of the proposals, to scale the best developments of crews and training centers. From November 1, 2024, the term of basic general military training was increased from 30 to 45 days. This made it possible to expand the program, add more practice and better prepare recruits, said NV in the Land Forces.
At the end of December, Alexander Sirsky reported that the preparation period would be increased to two months.
Also, according to the Law on Mobilization, which came into force on May 18, 2024, on September 1, 2025, basic general military training in universities is introduced – as a separate educational discipline, which is part of the curricula of higher education institutions of all forms of ownership. Women will pass it only voluntarily.
