““Approximately 10,000 servicemen from the SZCH have returned to the reserve battalions, and 4,500 are already participating in combat operations””, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
He pointed to the measures that the command succeeded in – in particular, the extension of the period of basic military training and the introduction of an adaptive period, during which the soldier “adapts to the area where specific combat operations are conducted.”
Syrskyi also mentioned the work on creating “healthy military teams”:
“Because most of the problems, judging by our materials, because we study this problem constantly, are just relations in the military team. Where they are normal, there are traditions, respect from commanders for subordinates, where sergeants are parents, managers, mentors, then there are usually no problems with SZH.”

According to the Commander-in-Chief, the number of SZH has decreased recently.
“Now, in the last period, the number of voluntary abandonment of a part has literally decreased by a third. On the other hand, about 10,000 servicemen from the SZCH have returned to the reserve battalions, and 4,500 are already participating in combat operations. That is, people realized that they had committed an act that has signs of a criminal offense,” he said.
To the question of journalist Andrii Tsaplienko, Sirskyi clarified that most of the soldiers who return from the SZH continue their service in other units.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed the law “On Amendments to the Law “On Military Duty and Military Service”, which, among other things, extends until March 1 the possibility of registering servicemen who have committed crimes against humanity and who voluntarily joined military units.
