Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga held a meeting with his Polish colleague Radoslav Sikorskyi on November 26, Radio Liberty correspondent reports.

According to Sybiga during the joint press conference, a joint statement was adopted, “which emphasizes our determination to work for the restoration of a just peace and the joint victory of Ukraine and its partners over the criminal Russian aggression. No compromises regarding the territorial integrity of Ukraine. Russia is the aggressor, and Ukraine defends itself with the help of allies.”

Sybiga emphasized that he informed Sikorsky that “in recent weeks and months, Russia has taken a number of unacceptable steps that are expanding aggression. It is about the involvement of North Korean troops, strikes on nuclear energy facilities and the use of a medium-range ballistic missile.”

“Russia once again demonstrates that it does not seek peace. She only wants war. And this means that it can only be forced to peace, to peace thanks to force. In order to achieve this, our partners would have to take a number of decisive steps,” the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry emphasized.

In particular, Sybiga called for strengthening military support for Ukraine, strengthening the “air shield”, as well as strengthening sanctions against Russia.

“We are waiting for the 15th EU sanctions package during Poland’s presidency of the EU Council,” he said.

Sybiga also informed his Polish colleague about the situation at the front, which remains “difficult, so the Armed Forces need more weapons and equipment.”

“Once again, I was assured of Poland’s full support for the peace formula and the victory plan, the implementation of which will strengthen Ukraine’s negotiating position. We expect the support of the Polish presidency for a smooth, fast process of negotiations between Ukraine and the EU. We count on the parallel opening of clusters one and two – “fundamentals” and “domestic market” already at the beginning of the Polish presidency,” he emphasized.

On Tuesday, November 26, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga met in Warsaw with his Polish colleague Radoslav Sikorsky.
