Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiga had a telephone conversation with the newly appointed Secretary General of the Council of Europe Alain Berse, reports UNN with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“I am glad to have a conversation with Alain Bercet and become the first Minister of Foreign Affairs to congratulate him on taking up the position of Secretary General of the Council of Europe.

We discussed the continuation of the excellent cooperation between Ukraine and the Council of Europe. We intend to achieve many joint results,” Sybiga said.

According to the head of the Foreign Ministry, they also discussed joint work on promoting the Peace Formula, as well as ensuring full and comprehensive responsibility for Russian crimes, including the crime of aggression against Ukraine.

“I also invited General Secretary Alain Berse to visit Ukraine,” the head of the Foreign Ministry summed up.
