Ukraine convenes a meeting of the energy “Ramstein” against the background of a difficult situation in the energy sector due to Russian strikes and severe cold weather. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Fedorov.

“At the behest of Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko, together with the Ministry of Energy, we are convening the Energy Ramstein, at which we expect to receive additional contributions and specific commitments from allies. We are in constant contact with the European Energy Community to fill the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine and purchase equipment at the fund’s expense,” he wrote on Facebook.

According to him, Italy has already started delivering industrial boilers of high power (from 550 to 3000 KW) for a total amount of 1.85 million euros, which will help the most affected communities.

As Sybiga reported, this week there is already a large aid package worth 200 million dollars from Norway – for the purchase of gas and equipment.

Kyiv expects new bilateral packages of energy support from other partners in the near future. The minister will announce news on this tomorrow.

Sybiga also said that tomorrow there will be new announcements regarding additional packages to support air defense capabilities.

On January 12, the Norwegian government announced an emergency aid package of 340 million euros to Ukraine to support the energy sector and help Ukrainian authorities maintain critical services.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in February 2022, Russia has been striking Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Since the beginning of the fall of 2025, Russian forces have intensified their attacks on the Ukrainian energy industry.

The Security Service of Ukraine qualifies Russia’s strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure as crimes against humanity. The SBU noted that since the beginning of this year’s heating season, it has documented 256 air attacks by the Russian Federation on energy facilities and heat supply systems of Ukraine.

Recently, a particularly difficult situation with energy and heat supply has developed in Kyiv. After the Russian strike on January 9, emergency shutdowns continue. Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said that this Russian attack was the most painful for the city’s critical infrastructure. He emphasized that the situation is the most difficult in four years.
