“They are part of a group of several allied countries. Together they will prepare future stages of the Danish exercise Operation Arctic Endurance,” Kristersson wrote.

At the same time, the Prime Minister did not specify the number of troops involved and which countries participated in the exercises.

It was previously reported that Denmark had sent military equipment and an advanced military unit to Greenland, which is preparing to receive larger army forces and other units.

On January 14, Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen assured that Copenhagen would “strengthen” the military presence in Greenland.

It was also reported that the Association of Reservists of Germany offered to station troops in Greenland to prevent the US from capturing the Arctic island.
