Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Hayko Thoms, during which they discussed updating the management system of state-owned enterprises in the energy and defense sectors.
It is about the transition to a more transparent and efficient management model of companies that are of strategic importance for the security and stability of the country.
Svyridenko emphasized that the government considers the reform of state assets as one of the key tools for strengthening the economy of the warring state.
The head of the government thanked Germany for consistent support of Ukraine at the political, financial and military levels. According to her, Germany is currently the largest European donor to Ukraine and at the same time one of the main providers of military aid.
She emphasized that such support directly affects the ability of the Ukrainian state to resist Russian aggression and preserve the functioning of critically important sectors of the economy.
Svyridenko separately noted Berlin’s contribution to Ukraine’s energy sustainability. She recalled the support of the Ukrainian energy fund and an additional 170 million euros aimed at strengthening the energy infrastructure on the eve of the most difficult period of winter.
According to the Prime Minister, German air defense systems have proven their effectiveness during recent mass attacks, when they successfully intercepted Russian missiles and helped reduce the scale of destruction.
We will remind, Svyridenko will head the Office of the President, Fedorov will become the Prime Minister.
Svyridenko also discussed Ukraine’s anti-corruption measures with EU ambassadors.
