Svitolina in 55 minutes destroyed the “neutral” and came out in the 1/8 finals of Montreal

The first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina (WTA 13) was released to the 1/8 finals of the prestigious WTA 1000 in Montreal, Canada.

In the third round, a Ukrainian in two sets defeated the “neutral” Anna Kalin (WTA 31) in 55 minutes.

It was a third meeting of rivals. Elina beat Kalinskaya for the third time, in particular having won the second victory in 2025 – in February, Elina smashed Anna in the first round of the thousands in Dubai, giving three games.

At the start of the competition in Montreal Svitolina, Kamilla Rakhimov was held. Her next opponent will be US representative Amanda Anisimova.

Elina will play at the stage of the 1/16 finals in Montreal and the fourth in Canadian Tensnik for the third time in her career. In 2017, she won the trophy on the courts of Toronto.

Svitolina became the third representative of Ukraine, who made his way to the fourth round of Montreal-2025. Earlier, Marta Kostyuk and Diana Yastremskaya did it, and Julia Starodubtseva was defeated on August 1 by Clara Tauson.
