Ukrainian society begins the year 2026 in the circumstances of long-term political tension, a significant degree of criticism of government officials and the absence of a sense of systemic changes against the background of power outages.

In the question of responsibility for the energy crisis (with the exception of Russian attacks), Ukrainians primarily place the blame on the central government — the Cabinet of Ministers and the President.

According to analysts, this indicates the hope of the people that the main anti-crisis measures should be taken at the highest level, and not transferred to regions or local administration.
Methodology: The study was conducted using the SunFlower Sociology online panel. Method: self-filling of questionnaires by citizens of Ukraine aged 18 and older. Sample: 1000 questionnaires (representative by age, gender and region of Ukraine). Information was collected throughout the year. The collection of information took place on January 17, 2026. The theoretical error with a confidence probability of 0.95 does not exceed 3.1%.
