In the territory of Sumy region, Ukrnafta staff found an illegal interference with the oil pipeline belonging to the Velikobubnivsky field of the Okhtyrkanaftogaz oil and gas department.

The attackers organized a complex scheme that regularly stolen raw oil from the industrial well.
The insert was done by welding a metal nut with a sharov tap, which was connected by a high -pressure rubber hose about four meters long.
The peculiarity of this scheme was the use of a plastic pipe about 450 meters long. It was laid underground – from a place of insert directly to an abandoned farm in the village of Vyunne, Romny district.
In the territory of this farm, the attackers equipped a storage facility: underground placed a metal container of about 10 cubic meters, where the stolen oil got.
Investigative actions are still underway, persons involved in the organization and implementation of this criminal scheme are being established.
Law enforcement officers also calculate the amount of damage caused, as such actions not only cause economic harm to the state, but also create a potential danger to the environment and local residents.
According to experts, special knowledge and technical skills are required to carry out such interventions. Illegal connection to an industrial oil pipeline is a complex and dangerous process, as any mistake can lead to oil, fire or even explosion.
However, the attackers acted carefully: they carefully masked the insert, used a long underground pipe and arranged a storage facility in an invisible place.
