The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reacted to sabotage in Poland / UNIANThe Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reacted to the sabotage of railway infrastructure facilities in Poland. The special services of Russia are recruiting people with a passport of a citizen of Ukraine to carry out hybrid attacks, sabotage and crimes aimed at destabilizing the situation.
As stated in the comments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Ukrainian diplomats took into account the conclusions made public by the Polish special services on the identification of two citizens of Ukraine, whom the Polish investigative authorities suspect of committing acts of sabotage on the Polish railway under the direction of the special services of the Russian Federation.
“Ukraine strongly condemns such acts of sabotage. We draw attention to the cynicism of the aggressor state’s deliberate recruitment and use of persons with passports of Ukrainian citizens for hybrid attacks, sabotage and crimes aimed at destabilization. Russia is trying to shift the blame for its crimes onto Ukrainians. But we are convinced that Ukraine’s partners perfectly understand that the source of such acts of sabotage is the Russian Federation,” the comment reads.
At the same time, as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes, the events in Poland once again confirm that simultaneously with the war of aggression against Ukraine, Russia is waging a full-scale hybrid war against Europe, against Ukraine’s allies. Moscow is trying to break the unity of partners in helping Ukraine and generally destabilize the situation.
“We confirm our readiness to provide all the necessary assistance to the competent Polish authorities and the relevant services of our allies to establish all the circumstances of the incident, bring the perpetrators to justice and form a joint preventive mechanism to counter such criminal actions in the future,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
In this connection, it is noted that Ukraine is determined to continue close coordination with Poland and other allied states in countering Russian hybrid aggression and strengthening our common security.
