Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly announced they are leaving StrictlyCredit: BBC But Vicky told The Sun on Sunday: “If they wanted me and Angela Scanlon to do it, they’d have to move it post-watershed, that’s for sure.
“But of course we would love it.”
Vicky learned of Tess and Claudia’s exit last week while she and pro partner Kai Widdrington were in rehearsals for last night’s show, when they danced to Cheryl’s hit Fight For This Love.
She said: “My husband sent me through Tess’s statements.
“It’s devastating news.
“Tess and Claudia are such consummate professionals, beautiful women inside and out.
“But I bet they’re looking forward to weekends at home with their families. It’s well deserved.”
Despite her dance floor nerves, Vicky isn’t worried by any criticism she gets from the judges.
She said: “I’ve been on TV 15 years.
“I’ve been called far worse than what Craig Revel Horwood might say to me.”

Girls Aloud star Cheryl, 42, below, told fellow Geordie Vicky Pattison she was rooting for her.
Vicky, who danced to Cheryl’s solo hit Fight For This Love, responded: “OMG, Claudia. She knows who I am!”
