“Some media outlets, referring to the post of People’s Deputy Maryana Bezugloi, spread a fake story about the so-called “million dollar bonuses”. The statements made public by the deputy do not correspond to reality and only help the enemy to bring discord and mistrust into Ukrainian society,” the message reads.
StratCom emphasized that the military command is ready to provide the necessary clarifications for the dissemination of true information.
“Yes, Article 15 of Chapter II of the Law of Ukraine “On the Disciplinary Statute of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” provides for an exhaustive list of incentives that apply to military personnel. Among them are, in particular, monetary bonuses – in addition to valuable gifts, badges and awards, certificates, and thanks etc. To ensure such bonuses and valuable gifts, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine issues a separate mandate within the sums, provided for by the Law “On the State Budget of Ukraine”, – the statement states.
Therefore, the commanders and leaders of the Armed Forces, their types and individual branches of troops (forces) receive an annual bonus fund to encourage personnel with monetary bonuses – for additional motivation of the best servicemen, within the framework of the implementation of the laws on the State Budget and the Disciplinary Statute of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Yes, the incentive fund of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2024 amounted to UAH 19 million. Incentive bonuses were paid to 426 servicemen of all categories (soldiers, sergeants, officers). The incentive fund of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine last year amounted to UAH 1.8 million, but in total, a much smaller amount was used to reward 22 servicemen,” informs StratCom.
In addition, it is stated that personnel and other leaders of the components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine were rewarded within the framework of the specified funds.
“Without the material incentives of a military serviceman – both a simple soldier and an officer – any combat-capable army cannot function. And even more so – the army of a country that repels a full-scale invasion,” explains StratCom.

The other day, People’s Deputy Maryana Bezugla announced the alleged multimillion-dollar bonuses of the General of the Armed Forces.
The Commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksiy Neizhpapa, also commented on the deputy’s post.
“As the Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, at the request of the commanders, I have the authority to encourage military personnel with monetary bonuses. So, last year, a fund in the amount of 1.2 million hryvnias allowed to reward 223 military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of all categories – sailors, sergeants, officers and officers,” Neizhpapa wrote.
According to him, tens of thousands of servicemen are under his command, and the priority is to act in the interests of their well-being.
“We approach this issue responsibly and transparently. Therefore, there is no need to look for treason where there is none. As for my income as the Commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they are all reflected in the official declaration available for public viewing,” said Neizhpapa.
