The department emphasizes that the actions of the Hungarian side are even more distant from peacemaking than its statements. Hungary consistently calls for Ukraine, which is defending itself against Russian genocidal aggression, to be left without weapons for self-defense, prevents financing of strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities, increasing sanctions pressure against the aggressor, and other critically important decisions. All this has nothing to do with the desire to restore peace.
