The artist faced serious postoperative complications, says the journalist.
Giga canceled all concerts / photo instagram/stepan.giga_official66-year-old People’s Artist of Ukraine Stepan Giga underwent not one but two operations and is now in a coma. Journalist Vitaly Glagola writes about this, referring to people from the singer’s circle.
He reported on his Telegram channel that after the first operation and stress, the artist’s sugar level rose sharply, causing critical blood circulation disorders in the limb. After the second knee operation, he had to amputate his leg:
“As interlocutors close to the family told me, Stepan Giga is now in a coma. The artist’s condition is assessed as extremely serious. According to sources, the decision to amputate was made in conditions when there were no other ways to stop dangerous processes.”
We will remind, last month it became known that 66-year-old Stepan Giga was urgently hospitalized. Due to illness and surgery, the musician had to cancel all planned concerts.
According to reports, Stepan Giga is in serious condition after the operation. The artist’s official team has not disclosed all the medical details yet, stating only that he is in a serious but stable condition.
The premiere of the song, which the artist wrote 20 years ago, took place yesterday. It is called “My years – my prayer”.
