“The new cheat technique is related to CS2”, – WRITE: Sport.ua
The fraudsters have invented a new technique of fraud of Steam users associated with Counter-Strike 2. They posted their own game called Plumber’s Legacy, which received access to the Steam shopping ground. Within this game, the attackers created objects that completely mimic the knives with CS2.

In appearance in the Trade, these objects were no different from the real ones – they had a similar icon and name. But in fact, these were ordinary virtual objects from another game that had no value in the CS2 ecosystem.
According to preliminary information, Plumber’s Legacy has already been removed – most likely the attackers themselves to hide the traces. However, it is likely that such a scheme will appear again – under a different name or with other visual masking.
Users are advised to be extremely careful when trading and to check what kind of game each item belongs to. It will also not be superfluous to warn friends, especially those who actively trade in Steam.
