State enterprise “Diya” is being liquidated and turned into a joint-stock company, but users will not notice anything. Services will continue to operate 24/7 and state ownership remains unchanged. This reform gives the company more tools for development and partnerships. This was stated by Valeriya Koval, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
State enterprise “Diya” changes its legal form and becomes a joint-stock company. This decision was adopted in accordance with the law “On the peculiarities of regulating the activities of legal entities of certain organizational and legal forms in the transition period” and the government’s resolution, which obliges all state-owned enterprises to change the form of ownership.
Valeriya Koval, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation, explained: “We continue to work as usual. Nothing changes for users of the application and the portal. As always, services work 24/7, documents are at hand, and services are provided just as quickly.”
She added that the new status allows “Diya” to obtain modern tools for development that were previously unavailable to a classic state-owned enterprise. Now it will be easier to build partnerships with Ukrainian businesses and launch joint technological projects. “I would like to note separately: “Action” remains 100% state-owned. The word “joint-stock company” in the name does not mean privatization in any way. The state was, is and will be the sole owner,” Koval stressed.
The legal change does not affect the operation of the portal and the application, but only allows the company to develop more flexibly and implement new technologies. Users can be sure: all services will work as before – without interruptions and with access to all documents.
