The number of victims as a result of dropping an aerial bomb on a residential high-rise building in the Sumy region has increased, the State Emergency Service reports.

The rescuers noted that “as a result of the Russian strike, a five-story residential building was damaged in the village of Svesa, Shostkinsky district.” So far, employees of the State Emergency Service managed to evacuate 14 people and save the grandmother.

“The Russians launched a hostile attack on the housing sector today in the afternoon. As a result of the attack, the entrance from the fifth to the first floor of a five-story residential building was destroyed. A total of 4 apartment buildings were damaged,” the State Emergency Service explained.

According to preliminary information, 10 people were injured, including 2 children.
Rescuers say that they “continue to carry out rescue and search operations. There are 2 stationary points of inviolability of local authorities at the places of arrival.”

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes committed by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are targeted.
