The day before, the border guards received a notification about the body found in the river from their Romanian colleagues.
“The drowning man was a 39-year-old citizen of Ukraine from the Kyiv region. The man’s body was found in the river at a distance of 5 meters from the Romanian shore, between the settlements of Bedevlja (Ukraine) and Remeta (Romania),” the message reads.
The DPSU assumes that the man became a victim of the organizers of illegal crossing the border, who “put their “clients” in mortal danger for the sake of money.”
