The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) has approved an increase in tariffs for electricity transmission and dispatching services. In 2025, the tariff for system users will increase by 29.8%. This was announced during a meeting of the regulator, UNN reports.

According to the calculations, the tariff for electricity transmission services for system users, except for green metallurgy enterprises, will amount to UAH 686.23/MWh in 2025.

Previously, the tariff for electricity transmission services for system users was UAH 528.57/MWh, which means it increased by 29.8%.

For green metallurgy enterprises, the new tariff will be 359.55 UAH/MWh.

Prices for dispatching services of NPC Ukrenergo will also increase to 98.97 UAH/MWh.

It should be noted that according to preliminary calculations, this amount amounted to 95.07 UAH/MWh, which is 5.4% more than in 2024.

The interim head of NPC Ukrenergo, Oleksiy Brekht, reacted to the price increase as follows:

“For the first time in the last four years, the electricity transmission tariff takes into account almost the full scope of the special obligations imposed on the company. The adoption of this tariff will ensure that the company’s debt in the electricity market for the provision of the relevant services will stop growing.

According to him, due to the critical underfunding of tariffs, Ukrenergo has lost about UAH 60 billion, which has led to a debt of almost UAH 40 billion.

Recall

Ukraine still needs to consume electricity rationally throughout the day, electricity imports from 5 neighboring countries are expected, and power companies have restored electricity supply to more than 80,000 consumers, the Energy Ministry said.
