The 40-year-old actor, who played Michael Oher in the 2009 film starring Sandra Bullock, was rushed to a Southern California medical facility last Thursday.
He was rushed to hospital after suffering from a fever and ‘a blood-soaked cough’.
According to TMZ, Quinton was given several tests, with early indications showing he’s dealing with Type A flu and pneumonia.
However, the ordeal has also left him with a migraine for several days.
It’s hoped he’ll be able to return home after doctors administer a PICC line, and having taken a round of antibiotics, he’s no longer coughing up blood.

Quinton had been due to perform and present at an event in Orange County, Los Angeles, but was forced to miss the appearance due to his illness.
The Halfway star was also hospitalised in 2019 when he was suffering from an upper respiratory infection.
