The America’s Got Talent comedian was performing in Spokane, Washington State, this weekend when a man in the audience collapsed from a heart attack.

Explaining that it was a moment he will ‘never forget’, Drew said what happened next was ‘one of the most powerful examples of community and human connection I’ve ever seen’.

‘Without hesitation, people in the audience began taking turns performing CPR, clearing space for paramedics, and monitoring his vitals,’ he explained.

‘He had no pulse for over 5 minutes. With the combined efforts of total strangers, and honestly, by what felt like a miracle that night, he was revived right there in the room.

The entire audience came together in that moment—no egos, no identities, no division—just one goal: saving a life.’

They stayed ‘for hours’ chatting to him and his family, sharing stories and laughing together, he said.

‘HUGE thank you to the people of Spokane, the brave medical professionals, and the Wende family for bringing this man into my life and reminding me just how special community can be,’ Drew added.

Drew shared the footage of the moment on social media alongside his caption.

In it, he can be seen asking over the microphone if there was a medic in the room after a commotion in the crowd.

In the background of the video, as Drew stood on stage looking shaken, a woman can be heard stating calmly: ‘CPR started.’

‘No pulse,’ someone can be heard saying, before another voice adds that they think they found one.

Drew asked the audience to make space, as the paramedics arrived at the scene and lifted the man away, saying: ‘We’re going to take care of you, okay?’

Standing on stage, Drew then reflected on the ‘powerful’ moment he just witnessed.

‘If I could just take a second with you guys right now,’ he said, while holding back tears.

‘That was incredible, dude. I know we’re just up here making jokes and stuff. But you guys all just really came together in a really cool way. You saved that guy’s life.

‘That was crazy. You worked together so fast. That was nuts, man. To witness that… I have literally the hardest job in the world now,’ he joked.

Wiping away tears with a tissue from the audience, he continued: ‘I’m like a widow dabbing my eyes at a funeral right now.
